Reserve Bank of India (RBI/Bank) jobs

Applications (App.) are invited for the post mentioned below in Reserve Bank of India (RBI/Bank) from Indian citizens, citizens of Nepal and subjects of Bhutan, Tibetan refugees (who came over to India before 1st January 1962) and persons of Indian origin who have migrated from Myanmar and Sri Lanka with the intention of permanently settling in India and in whose favour Eligibility Certificates have been issued by Government of India.


Out of 75 vacancies mentioned above, 3 vacancies are reserved for candidates belonging to Persons with Disability (PWD) category - one vacancy each for Orthopedically Handicapped (OH), Hearing Impaired (HI) and Visually Handicapped (VH). Persons with Disability may belong to any category - GEN/SC/ST/OBC.
Note: (I) The degree of disability should be (i) minimum 40% in case of Orthopaedically Handicapped persons,(ii) Hearing Impaired are those in whom the sense of hearing is non-functional for ordinary purposes of life. They do not hear, understand sounds at all, even with amplified speech. The cases included in this category will be those having hearing loss more than 60 decibels in the better ear (profound impairment) or total loss of hearing in both ears. The degree of disability should not be less than 40% and (iii) For being considered as a Visually Handicapped candidate the candidate should fulfill either of the following conditions:
(a) Total absence of sight.
(b) With visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (Snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses.
(c) With limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degrees or worse.
(II) The Persons with Disability (PWD) candidates should possess a latest Certificate to this effect issued by an authorized Government of India/State Government Department/ Hospital.
2    ELIGIBILITYCRITERIA :
(a) Age (as on 01 -09-2011): Between 21 and 30 years (candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/09/1981 and not laterthan 01/09/1990). For candidates possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualification, upper age limit will be 31 and 33 years respectively. For candidates having experience as an officer in Commercial Bank/Financial Institution in Public Sector, upper age limit is relaxed to the extent of number of years of such experience subject to a maximum of three years. For such candidates, upper age limit should not exceed 33 years including experience. For experience, probationary period will not be reckoned. Refer item 4 below for relaxation in upper age limit for specified categories.
(b) Educational Qualifications (as on 01-09 -2011): i) A First Class Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade OR ii) A Second Class Master's Degree with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade OR iii) A Doctorate Degree with 50% marks in Master's Degree or equivalent grade OR iv) Chartered/Cost Accountant/Company Secretary (ACS) with a Bachelor's Degree OR v) A Post Graduate Diploma in Management /MBA qualification from institutions recognized by Government of India/ University Grants Commission, with Graduation / Bachelor's Degree.
NOTE: SC/ST/PWD candidates having second class with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade in Bachelor's Degree examination OR having a Post-graduate Degree or equivalent recognized qualification, are eligible to apply.
(c) Scheme of Selection
Selection will be through Written Examinations (WE) and Interview. 'WE' will be held in two phases as under:
(I) Phase I (Objective Type Test): This Paper of 3 hours duration for 200 marks will be held on Sunday, the December 18.2011. The Paper consists tests of i) General Awareness ii) English Language iii) Quantitative Aptitude and iv) Reasoning. Candidates have to secure minimum marks separately for each test as prescribed by the Board. Candidates who secure minimum marks separately for each Test as prescribed will be shortlisted for Phase II of the 'WE' based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Objective Test. The minimum aggregate cut off marks for being shortlisted for Phase II of the WE will be decided by the Board in relation to the number of vacancies. Roll No. of the candidates successful in Phase I of the WE are likely to be published in Employment News / Rozgar Samachar, on the RBI website and a brief notice thereof in leading newspapers in January /February 2012.
(II)  Phase II (Descriptive Type Test): The Phase II Examination will be conducted in March/April 2012 (tentative) only for those candidates who are successful in Phase I (Objective Type Test). The date and time-table will be intimated to the candidates concerned at the appropriate time. The Examination will consist of three Descriptive Type papers-
(i) Paper I - English (ii) Paper II - Economic and Social Issues and (iii) Paper III - Finance and Management. Each of these papers is of 3 hours duration carrying 100 marks.
NOTE: Phase I (except the test of English) and Papers II and III of Phase II will be set bilingually in Hindi and English. Phase I is Objective Type and only marking the correct choice is required. However, Papers II and III of Phase II can be answered either wholly in Hindi or English at the candidate's option.
(III) Syllabus (Phase II):

NOTE: The above syllabus is only indicative and not exhaustive. Keeping in view that candidates from different faculty backgrounds apply for the post, the questions in Papers II and III will be basic in nature. Candidates will be short-listed for interview based on the aggregate marks obtained only in Phase II - Papers I. II and III. The minimum cut off marks for being short-listed for interview will be decided by the Board in relation to the number of vacancies. Candidates may answer the Interview either in Hindi or English at their option. Final selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in Phase II of the 'WE' and Interview.
(d)  Number of attempts:
Candidates belonging to Unreserved Category, who had already appeared four times for WE' for this post in the past, are not eligible to apply. No such restriction to candidates belonging to SC\ST\OBC\PWD, if the posts are reserved forthem.
(e)  Pre-examination training for SC/ST/PWD candidates:
The Bank arranges pre-examination training for Phases I and II of the examination for SC/ST/PWD candidates, free of cost, at the centres where the Bank has its offices. '7th Sense' Review: Lacking in Common Sense

The combination of Suriya and director Murugadoss is back and this time they have delved upon a story of the past and the link of science with history. Let us see how good that is.
Story:
In the 16th century, a Pallava king Boddhidharma (Suriya) sets on a journey to China. He is endowed with martial arts, art of healing and also the indomitable control over the five elements.
After reaching China, he heals a village of a sickness and due to the locals belief, he sacrifices his life and is buried there. Cut to the present, there is Aravind (Suriya), a circus artiste who comes across Shuba (Shruti) a genetic research student and falls in love with her. However, Shuba gets friendly with Aravind for a reason. Meanwhile, a Chinese named Dong Lee (Johnny Tri) comes to India and his mission is to kill Shuba.
Who is Aravind? Why Shuba wants to be friendly with him? Why Dong Lee comes to kill Shuba? All this forms the rest of the story.

Performances:Suriya spreads his charm once again and he is all over the film. More than his regular role as Aravind, it was his brief role as Boddhidharma that creates a strong impact.

Shruti Haasan looks naturally beautiful and has a magical glint in her eyes. She has a meaty role and she did justice for that. If she adds few extra pounds she will be very appealing.

Johnny Tri was excellent. His intense eyes and his body language were menacing. Without many dialogues, he conveys the essence of a villain in the right manner.

Dhanya was alright, Guinness Pakru was a little silly, Avinash was apt, Abhinaya was hardly there, Ashwin was alright, Raghavendra came and went. The others didn’t have much to offer.

Highlights:

  • Technical and production values
  • Climax fight sequence
Drawbacks:
  • Slow pace
  • Weak romance track
  • Dragged sequences
  • Lack of intensity and emotional depth
  • Music
Analysis: Murugadoss has mixed a bit of factual history to modern science in this. For starters, he must be really appreciated for coming up with a bold theme and making an attempt to show the great history and great men of our nation. However, there is a fine line between picking up a good concept and executing it with the right voltage. If it was not for Suriya’s aura and the strong technical values, the film would have been bland.
This movie appears to be the idea of an A grade director executed by a B-grade director. Generally people expect something more sensible from Murugudoss. But that lacked here.
First half is ok but the second half got derailed. Murugudoss made vain attempt to bring grip in narration due to lack of proper research. Even Operation Red idea became silly. The climax is very long with 40 minutes and that itself shows how bad the screenplay is.
It can be said that there is no directorial brilliance as the plot was predictable and all that is required was to fill the two hours plus duration. There is no doubt that this is a rather unique storyline in the recent times but if only it was trimmed in the right manner and some dose of emotion and dramatic values were added to it, the film would have been a success.
At the box office, the openings will be good but audience is advised to step into the theatres without high expectations. Overall, this would not make any positive impact at box office. .
Bottomline: Beautiful thought, bad execution

Presently Power star Pawan Kalyan is busy with the shooting of his under shoot projects Panjaa and Gabbar Singh. Power star’s Gabbar Singh shooting will starts from October 29th at Pollachi in Kerala. Gabbar Singh is a remake of Bollywood hit film Dabangg, Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha played the lead roles.

Power star fans eagerly waiting for that, who will play the item song Munni badnam hui, which has been kept under wraps by the filmmakers for a long time. Now the latest news is that the Munni girl for Pawan Kalyan in Gabbar Singh has come to an end. The latest buzz is, Parvati Melton, who scorched the screen with her item song ’Poovai Poovai’ in Dookudu has been approached by the makers to do the Telugu version of chart-buster ’Munni Badnaam Hui’. The film is also being made in Tamil as Osthi and famous Bollywood siren Mallika Sherawat has been roped in for the same item song there.

Jr NTR is all set to play an MLA in his next film, which is to be directed by Harish Shankar. MLA, which means Manchi Lakshanalunna Abbayi. The film was to be made a few years ago under the Nallamalupu Bujji’s manner but it was put on for unknown reasons.
Now, the buzz is that, NTR and Harish are keen on reviving the project with Kodali Nani and Vallabhaneni Vamsi who will be producing the film. Harish Shankar, who is currently busy with Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh, which will be ready for release by next summer, will start work on MLA.
NTR is currently shooting for the movie Dammu and will be joining Srinu Vytla’s Mafia from January. Therefore, MLA has a chance to hit sets in the latter half of 2012.

Oosaravelli & Dookudu: Fake records

Whenever a big hero movie is released , fans go frenzy about the collections and calculations starts right from benefit show.This mad rush for collection doesnt end with fans, it creeps till producers, distributors and reaches to an extent even the hero comes out to boast his records.
Whats so big deal in collections?. Collections are yardstick for measuring how movie fares at boxoffice.Money bags are proportional to Hit scale.A movie with good content is termed as a blockbuster only if it breaks existing records and sets news trends.So collections effectively stands out as a prestige for any big hero.
Till here it is all good.When collections are presented in a pure way , there is no harm in broadcasting  them and use them to pull more people to theatres.But when collections are tinkered by a huge margin(25-40%) problem starts.This trend has become more common in tollywood.Especially these days Dookudu team is coming up with unbelievable goofed up figures.
It is evident from the following figures (in Lakhs).

The above figures are just krishna district 3rd week.Theatre sources say , samething is repeated in Nizam , ceded areas and throughout the world as well.Though the movie is faring well all over the world with extra ordinary collection, still producers are adding 'Extra' to the extraordinary figure.
In the same lines, Oosaravelli team is also coming up with same tinkered figures.Movie team cameup with whopping 35 crore figure,which is clearly not possible.Additionally Oosaravelli went a extra mile and published even fake number of theatres.
In mad rush of superiority , tollywood is heading towards a dangerous region.If the trend continues people might name Tollywood as 'Fakewood'.Atleast now our big heroes and producers should realize and stop their mad fake acts.
