It is very common in politics to make allegations against one another without any basis.
Anybody can make any wild allegation against his or her rivals and sling mud at them. And it makes fun for the media.
On Monday, Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana alleged that the Congress MLAs who had resigned in support of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy had been paid Rs 5 crore to Rs 10 crore each for shifting loyalties to him.
“Some people are displaying their arrogance because of their money power. They are trying to split the Congress by bribing the MLAs,” he alleged.
Reacting sharply to this, YSR Congress party spokesman Ambati Rambabu said the horse-trading was the Congress party culture. He alleged that the Congress high command had paid Rs 300 crore to Chiranjeevi to merge his Praja Rajyam Party with the Congress.
“There were allegations in the past against Chiranjeevi that he had sold away his party tickets. Such persons have no moral right to talk about Jaganmohan Reddy,” Ambati said.
