Audi India will launch the 2011 A8L in the month of January. Read our first drive review of the 2011 Audi A8. The A8 will initially be launched with the 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine which produces 250bhp and will have an eight-speed transmission. The 4.2 FSI will be launched in January 2011, but those willing to buy diesel engine will have to wait for two more months.
Audi’s MMI (multi-media interface) utilises black panel technology to search for contacts on the phonebook. Back-seat passengers can easily operate the music system with the MMI controls at the rear. The new A8 is larger than its predecessor, but Audi has succeeded in reducing the weight as well.
